I LOVE 三味線
4 years ago,I started shamisen with an old master who lived in Paris.
She could only speak japanese , so I gave her french lessons in return .
We met 2 or 3 times in a month, I played shamisen while she was singing .(I learned quickly because I play guitar for a long time, and the tablatures are the same). It was just great!
She went back to japan 2 years ago, so I continue to play on my own (and with tapes she recorded for me before leaving)
I really miss her, she is someone so amazing, like the manga character "obaba" (らんま 1/2), very strong personality, no complex, maybe near a hundred years old, drinks beers and smokes like a teenager but とても元気 !very dynamic ! I'm glad my japanese is good enough to understand her lessons and her jokes, even if she was rude and hit me sometimes ,I couldn't imagine I'd met someone like her...
A real old school sensei like in kung fu movies...I thank her for everything, it's an experience I will never forget.
ありがとう Sakamoto sensei et merci Franck Bohbot pour ces belles photos!
