10 years ago,
A french band from Versailles called Daft Punk
released this song ,in their second album "Discovery "...


Leiji Matsumoto directed the video.



I have it in mind for days,I don t know why
so I looked for a cover on U tube.

10 years ago ,my band split up,
but I think maybe we could have done something like this

video games live 2010 ' (champion) edition

"Video games live" is an event I never miss when it comes to Paris ,
mixing 2 things very important for me...music and video games culture.


This is a philharmonic orchestra with electric guitars,choirs and piano playing famous games music,but its not only a concert its also a complete show with interviews, videos, game contest on stage and cosplay.
30 years of video games in 3hrs of pure music and fun.
So I went last friday to the 2010 edition and it was just amazing .
a fantastic playlist with classics like
Super Mario, Zelda and Final fantasy VII ...,
and a lot a good surprises with silent hill 2 and uncharted 2 .

But the thing that brings this edition so special for me was something I really didn't expect .





A Street fighter 2 tribute !!
I couldn' t imagine It would be possible to hear this soundtrack performed live one day.
And in france !
An other legend born in 1991 ,maybe the greatest versus fighting game ever.
Considered as the most important episode in the history of street fighter games.
It s not only because of nostalgia things, but there are in this soundtrack powerful encouraging melodies, that tells " hey! hold on ,never give up " , (my favorite is ken 's stage track with metal guitar riffs )
the kind of message we all should listen to in our every days life...


I still cant believe I said one hour before the concert"-it would be great to hear some street fighter 2 music ,It has NEVER been done before"
I dont know who fulfilled my wishes but It was just perfect ,
dedicated to all the fighting games fans in the audience,
but with the strong feeling that it was especially done for me! actually for the" world warrior" hidden in my heart...

That's why this 2010 edition was pure magic,
so maybe next year ,there will be some shenmue tribute ,why not
with the shenmue 3 announcement ! (please ,please)

Now.... I know that dreams can come true !!
