I was heading for CEATEC which was held in Makuhari in the morning of October 8th.
Makuhari is really far from my house. Also, typhoon was approaching Japan on that day. Therefore, I left my house quite early in the morning. JR reduced number of trains in order to prepare for approaching typhoon. Therefore, the train I took was really packed. It was not really comfortable to ride on such a crowded train. The train was so crowded and uncomfortable that I decided to take Musashino-line from Nishi-Kokubunji because I thought I could take a seat if I took Musashino-line. I was wrong. There were huge number of people waiting for a train on a Musashino-line platform when I got there. I didn't ride when a train came in because of too much people. But after that, a train didn't come for long time. Then, there was an announcement saying that a train had to stop at a station which was several stations away because of strong wind. Musashino-line is known for its fragility for strong wind. I gave up waiting there and moved to Chuo-line platform. Then I found that the Chuo-line stopped too.
I realized that I had no other choice than staying the Nishi-Kokubunji station until the train started to run again. So, I went to a coffee shop in the station, did some work by connecting PC to the internet. Eventually, they announced that the train wouldn't run at least until noon. Huuumm..
That's why I went to a Ramen shop - Kumayoshi - in Kokubunji on that day.
Charshu men is what I ordered in Kumayoshi. It was like Hachioji ramen because of chopped onion topping. Soup is a bit salty. I like the taste. My score for the shop is 3 out of 1 - 5 scale.
