今日の振り返り、まず、朝、おきて、用意をして、すぐに出かけました。朝食を食べに、サラベスを予約してありました。セントラルパークの隣なので、すぐに見つかりました。３４番ペンストリートから、５１番だか何だか、地下鉄で、ヒューっと何の問題もなくサラベスに時間通りについたから。おーもしかしたら、ニューヨーカーになれるかも。と大きな勘違いをしました。
そして、大きな勘違いのまま、地下鉄の駅に戻り、今度は、アメリカ自然史博物館へ、行こうと思いました。地下鉄を乗りこなしたと勘違いしていたので、きた地下鉄へ乗り込んだら、これが、また超特急で、５１番から、何と１２５番まで、ノンんストップ。下車しなければいけない８１番をすっかり通り越し、ハラハラして、まだまだ、ニューヨーカーへの修行が足りないと思いました。
その後、各駅停車で、８１番まで戻り、もーーーーと思いましたが、自然史博物館をみて、よかった〜と思いました。そして、お昼は、あまりお腹も空いてなかったので、チーズケーキをいただきました。
自然史博物館では、ほとんど、恐竜のセクションで時間を費やしましたが、すごい博物館です。スクールトリップの子ども達がたくさんいて、先生や、こども達と仲良くなりました。
その後、出ようと出口の警備員のおっさんと話をしていたら、何とおばあさんが入ってきました。「ここは、入口じゃないから」っておじさんがいうと、「私ね、サングラスをどこかに落としたのよ。ちょっと探させて。」というのです。おじさんと私は、顔を見合わせて、「えーーーーー」とか思いました。おばあさんに、必死に探して、「どこに行っちゃったのかしら、どこ？見つからないのよ。」っていうから、「それはね、あなたがサングラスかけているからでしょ。」って私が言ったら、「あら〜私ボケちゃったのかしら。」と言って出て行ってしまいました。そのあと、警備員のおっちゃんと、「何だったのだろうね。」と話し、おっちゃんも「あんなのみたことない。焦ったよ。」というのです。メガネ探していて、自分がメガネかけているのと同じです。気持ちはよくわかりました。
その後、ぷらぷらしながら、ホテルに戻り、ミュージカル「アラディン」をみにいきました。それが、ミュージカルのアラジン役が、中国系の男の子、とても可愛い。そして、ジニーがとても歌が上手！！素晴らしいステージを満喫し、その後、ビールを買って帰ってきました。
The reflection of today in NYC. After all the paper work is ok and quarantine has no problems. I got rather relaxed. Now it is the time to enjoy myself in NYC. I went to Sarabith’s no problems, took the subway etc… just cursing I thought I can become a New Yorker… well, that was misunderstanding, I thought I could take subways and no problems, I took A line which was express line after the fine breakfast. I was supposed to go to 81, but Express took me 125… way to far as I thought. I then turned around got on the local train this time and went to American Natural History Museum. What a big Museum, I got lost from the beginning. There were so many school kids, I asked their Grade, they were Year 1!! So cute, I got friendly with a few kids. They were so children… Making big noise!! I spent most of my time in Dinosaur since my boys loved Dinosaur.
Anyhow, when I went out, I was talking to the guard at the entrance how to get to the subway, suddenly this old woman came into the door, the guard said “do not enter here, this is not entrance.” She was saying “ I lost my sun glasses!! I need to find it!!” the guard looked at me as if he is saying “Is she real?” I looked him also “What the hell?” she goes “You know I lost the sun glasses, I can’t find anywhere!!” bit panicked, I said to her “It is because, you are wearing them!” she touched her face, “Holly, I am losing my mind.”
The guard and I looked each other, “Is this real?” he said he has never seen this kind of thing before. LOL!!
It might be same as washing your face even you are wearing glasses… never mind, I went back to the hotel and gor ready for my Musical.
The Musical Aladdin was fantastic and the cast the Aladdin was I believe Chinese American. He was so good. Genie was also very good. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!
I then went to Seven Eleven and got beer for my self. LOVELY day!!
