サマースクール 2014〜Summer School 2014

この夏、ABCDAVID’S ENGLISH SCHOOLは8月19日、20日の2日間に渡って、サマースクールを開催しました

アメリカでの夏休みがどんなものかを子供たちに体験してもらいたいと思い、たくさんの楽しいアクティビティを用意しました

This Summer ABCDAVID’S ENGLISH SCHOOL held a Summer School for 2 days

We prepared lots of fun activities that the children could experience what the summer vacation in America was like

1日目は、お買い物ごっこでカリフォルニアロールの具材を買って、みんなで作って食べましたその後、スイカ割りをしたり、お魚の形のプチプチに絵具をつけて、版画のように紙にのせて作るクラフトをしました

On the first day, we played shopping and the children were able to buy the ingredients to make their lunchWe made
California roll sushi and ate it togetherAfter that, we did watermelon breaking and made Summer bubble fish craft

2日目は、日本とアメリカの子供たちが好きな食べ物、好きなアニメは何かなど、違いについてビデオを見たり、話をしたりしましたランチを食べて、アメリカの子供たちが大好きなお菓子、スモアを作って食べた後、自分たちでシールを貼った鉢にお花を植えたり、外で水風船を使ったゲームをしたりしました

On the second day, we watched a cultural video about US and talked about differences between American children and Japanese children, like what is their favorite food?, What kind of anime do they like?, and so onAfter we had lunch and made s’mores and ate it, the children decorated the flower pot with stickers and planted some flowersAnd also we played the game using water balloons outside

子供たちは2日間とも、1日の終わりにその日にしたことを英語で日記に書き、持って帰りました

At the end of both days, the children wrote the diary about what they did during the summer school and took them home

子供たちは英語環境の中で食事をしたり、何かを作ったり、ゲームをしたりして、たくさんのことを学びました日本にいながらのプチ留学で、子供たちも先生たちもとっても楽しい時間を過ごせましたよ

The children could learn, play and make something in an English only spoken environmentNot only the children but also the teachers had a great time and lots of fun together during the short “study abroad.”
