■ ブログネタ お題「説明書、読む派？読まない派？」
私(夫)は「あまり読まない派」です(苦笑)。妻や子供たちは「よく読む派」ですね。
私がなぜ読まないかという理由は、過去の経験上、操作マニュアルの説明の内容が不備だったり不親切だったりしたので、自分なりに弄(いじ)ってみて学習した方が速い場合が多かったからです。そんな説明を読むより家族や同僚・友人など周囲の詳しい人に聞いた方が手っ取り早いこともあります。
そうやって私はワープロ、パソコンなどを何とか使い熟(こな)して来たのです。ケータイは画面が小さくて一覧性に欠けるという理由で、未だに使い熟せません。従ってスマホではなくガラケーのままです。

■ 一昨日11/9(土)は、「天皇陛下御即位をお祝いする国民祭典」が皇居前広場で(全国から集まった約3万人の観衆の前で)行われ、各界の代表が祝辞を述べた。
就中(なかんずく)、注目されたのが慶應義塾中等部3年生の女優・芦田愛菜(15)ちゃん。振袖姿で出席し約2分半に亘ってお祝いメッセージを述べると、15歳と思えない秀逸な言葉選びの祝辞にネット上では感激と驚きの声が相次いだ。

「 謹んで申し上げます。天皇陛下ご即位にあたり、心よりお祝いを申し上げます。
またこのような記念すべき国民祭典にお招きにあずかりお祝いと感謝を申し述べる機会をいただき、緊張しておりますが大変光栄に存じます。
即位礼正殿の儀での陛下のお言葉を拝聴し、日本そして世界の平和に対する陛下の御心に胸を打たれました。
陛下は松尾芭蕉の「奥の細道」をお読みになったことがきっかけで水にご関心を持たれ、長きにわたってご研究をなさっているとお聞きしました。(※1)
そして、水を通して世界のさまざまな問題をとらえ、そのことが平和につながるとのお考えをお持ちであると知るに至りました。
私も大好きな読書を通じ、知識を得ること、そしてその知識を踏まえて、行動に移す、その事が大切であるのではないかと考えるようになりました。
陛下の御心を受け、どんなことでも思い立ったことは迷わず実行できるようになりたい、そう思っております。
新元号「令和」は、万葉集からの出典だったということを知り、昔の日本の書物から新しい時代の元号が作られるということは、なんて素敵なことなんだろうと深く感動しております。(※2)
古くからわが国に伝わる文化を大切にしつつ、新しい日本へと躍進していく、そんな時代になっていくことを切に願っております。
最後になりますが、いつまでも両陛下がお健やかであられますようお祈り申し上げ、お祝いの言葉といたします。

昨日午後、本番のパレードをテレビで拝見した (後出 ※) 後、区立図書館へ借りていた東野圭吾の本を返却に行った折り、英字新聞も閲覧してみた。

芦田愛菜ちゃんの驚きのメッセージは、詳細が記載されていなかったので、
帰宅してからGoogleの機械翻訳の無料サービスを参考にしながら、拙い英訳を試みた。

■ 昨日11/10(日)15:00～15:30の天皇陛下ご即位パレード「祝賀御列(おんれつ)の儀」。
皇居・宮殿(長和殿の南車寄せ) からお住いの赤坂御所までの約4.6kmコース。祝福しようと集まった民衆は約11万9000人。
天が最高の祝福を贈っているようでしたね。
