There is a counterargument from another angle to the conclusion that "original = Greek," which emerged from this logical development. This is the idea of reexamining the process of the formation of each Gospel apart from the "two-source theory. According to this view, contrary to the "two-source theory," the "Gospel of Matthew" was written first, and Mark quoted from it. In other words, the "Gospel of Matthew" was originally written in Aramaic, but was translated into Greek after the "Gospel of Mark" was established, and the "Gospel of Mark" was used as a reference in the translation process. Of the 1071 verses in the Gospel of Matthew, only 387 are unique, 130 are shared with the Gospel of Mark, and 184 are shared with the Gospel of Luke.
