地磁気逆転地層「チバニアン」認定記念局を開設しました。

 

約46億年前に誕生した地球は、その歴史を地層に記録し、現代に至っています。

地質にはそれぞれの時代があり、それぞれの時代の地層を、国際地質科学連合(IUGS)により国際標準模式地(GSSP)として認定しています。

千葉県市原市田淵にある地層「千葉セクション」は、地球の地磁気逆転が最後に起きたとする記録が残っているとして、令和２年１月17日、GSSPに認定されました。

このことは、日本の地名がGSSPに初めて使用された記念すべき出来事となり、、「チバニアン」認定を記念し、地元市原市から市原市民、千葉県民との交流を図るとともに、国内外に認定のPRを行います。

 

チバニアンビジターセンターなど、運用会場に来場された方を対象に通信技術の紹介や、アマチュア無線技士の資格を持つ初心者、青少年ハム向けには、実際のオペーレートやアンテナ設置などの技術支援を行う予定です。

また、一部使用する電源に再生可能エネルギーを活用します。

記念事業のイベント等でも運用し、QSLカード(交信証)を発行する予定です。

 

新型コロナウイルス感染症が拡大している中での開設、運用となりました。

運用などについては、土日を中心に、感染症対策を講じながら運用してまいります。

 

記念局開設の期間は2021年３月31日までです。
