一葉観音
昔、道元禅師が仏法を学ぶため海を渡ろうとした時、海が荒れていたが観音経を念じていると一葉観音が現れ浪が静かになり無事に航海出来たということで、ここに一葉観音があるそうです。
後年になり、旅の安全と人生の安全を込めてここに作られたそうです。
Ichiyo Kannon
It is said that when Zen Master Dogen attempted to cross the sea to study Buddhism, the sea was rough, but as he recited the Kannon Sutra, the waves quieted and he was able to sail safely.
In later years, the temple was built here to pray for the safety of travelers and their lives.
