∂雑誌連載されたイラストエッセイ６７編。幼い頃の思い出や日々の暮らし、「或る日」のモノやコトを描く。

村上春樹氏との共著「象工場のハッピーエンド」の中で、同題名のショートショートがあるが、ヘタウマと称賛される著者の絵は、村上春樹氏自身の自由に深く貢献している。

同タイトルのビートルズの曲もあるが、順番から言えばそれが初めに在りきなのかも知れない。
