There’s been a mixed reaction to a decision by a wildlife park in Australia to ban a popular tourist attraction, a cuddle (抱擁) with a koala.

Our Asia Pacific editor Mickey Bristow has more: Sports stars, pops singers, and politicians visiting Australia have all done it,  had the photos taken while cuddling a koala.

But no more with the Lone Pine Sanctuary in Brisbane, which has now banned hugs with the marsupials (有袋動物)

It’s said people have requested more meaningful interactions with koalas.

Instead they’ll be offered the chance to see the cute furry (毛皮で覆われた) creatures close up in their natural habitat.

Some park visitors supported the move, others say without a cuddle, there’s now no point in going.

私もこの決定に賛成だ
