President Ferdinand Marcos says the Philippines will not resort to (手段に訴える) the use of force and will instead try to resolve disputes peacefully as he awarded medals to sailors wounded in the clash (戦闘、小競り合い) with the Chinese Coast Guard.
Mr Marcos did not name China in his address but said the Philippines would not deliberately inflict (負わせる) injury on anyone.
