Japanese Police have arrested teenage-soldier on suspicion of murder after two people were shot dead and another wounded at an army firing range. 

 

The shooting happened at the central Japanese prefecture of Gifu. 

 

Here’s Shima Harrel: This live fire shooting (実弾射撃) training was for new recruits and potential candidates. 

 

We understand he was a new recruit 18-year-old shooter. 

 

He’s now been arrested on a suspicion of murder. What we do not know is the motive behind this and the chronology have been watching (意味不明) local media including NHK with experts explaining how tightly secured and tightly controlled these shooting ranges are especially for the recruits.

 

 It’s still remains quite shocking because gun violence in Japan is quite rare.
