Being reunited with family and friends is always such a spectacular moment. Arriving at SFO yesterday morning with Julia Baez Reyes from México we've been whelmed from going through a long flight, gone through 2 hours of customs and picking up our luggage, I wasn't ready for what was about to come after leaving the terminal. I've been away for only 5 months without seeing my mom, but for the Yopihua family they haven't seen there mom in over 12 years. The sight of seeing, holding, crying and so many emotions going all at once I was just so overwhelmed. I was dumbstruck by the uproar that after I heard a very familiar voice snapped me out of it... My mom rushing over and coming at full swing for a huge hug, I was so psyched of seeing her again. After some warm felt greetings, I had the Yopihua family come up to give me thanks for bringing their mom safe and sound, I responded that I was just grateful that I able to make it happen and that I was appreciative of them all giving us such a surreal welcoming. I look back with appreciation and feeling blessed to reunite families back together after so many years. Am glad that everything worked out in the end, this journey was just extraordinary.
