一昨日の月曜日,こちらの展覧会へ.
齢百歳を超えられた現在も,
現役の染色家としてご活躍されている柚木沙弥郞さんと,
ご一緒に日本の民芸運動を担ってこられた陶芸家・武内晴二郎さんと舩木研兒さん,
お三方の作品を中心に据えた展覧会.
どちらも時代を担う気概と情熱に満ちた作品ばかりで,
当時の新しい芸術運動の一端に触れる事が出来ました.
素敵な展覧会をありがとうございました.

Art Exhibition: Samiro Yunoki and His Fellow Artists

I went to this exhibition on Monday, the day before yesterday.
This exhibition introduced folk art works centered on the works of Samiro Yunoki, who is still active as a dyeer after 100 years old, and the ceramic artists Seijiro Takeuchi and Keniji Funaki, who have led the folk art movement in the Japan.
All of the works were full of spirit and passion to pioneer the times, and I was able to experience a part of the new art movement of the time.
