Japan has come up with a new round of economy stimulus package.
Starting from May 15, a number of home electric appliances will be alloted a certain point, named eco-point.
In general, how many eco-points a certain appliance, say a LCD screen TV, depends on how much energy they can save compared to older models.
What do you do with these eco-points?
You can pay for the purchases by using the eco-points. However, where and when and how to do this remains unanswered.
At present, there isnt clear direction from the government and all the retailers are asking shoppers to keep the receipts for future reference.
I dont know how the public will react to this stimulus package but it sure wont work on me.
