Approaching the second half of October and year 2009 is only 70 days away and we are still in the midst of financial crisis! (malaysia seems to be immune, though?)
In this very time of the year, Toyota has unveiled its very ambitious vehicle. The boldest in Toyota history I would say.

Toyota launched the iQ. See pictures at bottom.
It is substantially shorter than the Japanese K-car (something like the Perodua Viva) measuring a length of under 3 metre, with a wheelbase of 2 metres. Small it may seems, it seats 4 persons, or so it claims.
I personally have doubts in crash test and Toyota seems to have anticipated that. iQ comes equipped with 9 airbags, with a 1 litre engine matched with the fuel-efficient CVT, gets 23 km/litre of gasoline.
The thing is, will anyone want one? The cheapest iQ is listed at 1.4 million yen. With this one can buy a top of the line K-car and enjoys a lower road tax!
Toyota runs into absurdity? certainly not. see, if there are people willing to buy the Lexus, there will be people willing to buy the iQ.
