今日は、片野絞りについて。
片野絞りって、
片野元彦さんが研究して発展させたものなんです
。
Today's topic is
Katano shibori,
named after Motohiko Katano.
He created and developed this technique.
先月
seeds to dye class 2018の
2回目の受講で、
ハンカチにその片野絞りをしました
。
今までと違う絞りの技法で、
何重にもなっている布に針を通すのが
難しかった・・・
I learned Katano shibori when I took the second lesson of
seeds to dye class 2018 last month.
I found that it was difficult to stitch through
so many layers of fabric.

ハンカチは一番下の布。
上の2枚はきれいに染めるための当て布。
The handkerchief is the bottom.
The top two clothes were used to dye beautifully
仕上がりは思ったよりも
よくできたかな。
(染めは先生がしてくださいました。）
この練習で、要領が少しわかったので
本番は風呂敷を染めます
大好きな青海波
に
挑戦してみたいな。
The result was better than I had expected.
(My instructor dyed the students's fabric)
I goｔ an idea of this technique, so I want to apply Seigaiha pattern,
one of Katano shibori patterns, to my next project.
