My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
今、
型染めをするためのデザインを
考え中です
。
まだ、何も決まっていません
。
I am trying to create a design for stencil dyeing,
but so far
I haven't got any good idea yet.
そんな時、
切り絵のワークショップが近所であったんです
。
早速参加してみました
。
先生
のデモンストレーション
、
１回で すっと
気持ちよく切り取ることが出来ます
。
でも、
自分がすると、
2回、3回と同じところを切らないと
紙を切り取ることができません
。
細かい部分や、
カーブは特に難しい・・・
でも、夢中になって仕上げました
。
Then,
I had an opportunity to join a papercut art workshop
in my neighborhood in Tokushima,
The instructor showed me how to cut paper,
and he created a clean cut with just one movement.
I tried to do so, but I had to cut the same line two or three times.
It was also difficult to cut curved lines and fine parts.

そして、
昨日は、 大阪から横浜に向かう途中
伊勢型紙の体験が出来る場所が
道中にあったので行ってきました。
なんてラッキーなんだろ
少し、ハードルの高いデザインに挑戦。
細かい部分、カーブが多かったけれど、
少しづつ慣れてきたみたい。
I also had an opportunty to visit a Ise Katagami museum
on the way back to Yokohama yesterday.
How lucky I was!
Ise Katagami is a Japanese traditional stencil design.
I joined the workshop,
and
this time I challenged more advanced level of papercut art.
Little by little I became used to cut paper.

今度は
デザインについてもっと知りたいので
図書館にでも行ってこようと思います。
Now
I want to learn more about stencil design, so
I am going to go to a library to gather the information.
