My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
この水曜日は、
本藍染矢野工場で、
手ぬぐいの藍染めをしてきました
I dyed my tenugui, Japanese traditional towl,
at Hon Aizome Yano Kojo this Wednesday.
手ぬぐいなので、
薄い生地だから、染め回数も少ないかね～
と思っていたら、
とんでもない
！
結局染め回数はトータルで30回以上
Tenugui is very thin fabric,
so I thought it would be less sorking times than normal.
Actually, it was not.
I soaked it more than 30 times.
仕上げは
今日！。
わくわく
I'll cut the threads and remove them today.
I'm so excited!
ところで、
この日は
染めている時
尊敬する藍秀先生が、傍で染めていて、
ドキドキ。
しかも、
染めていたのは、木のスライス

それから
途中から
台湾から見学者も来ました。
てきぱきと染めを終わらせ、説明に入る藍秀先生。
日本の藍建てと
温暖な彼らの国での藍建ての違いや、
江戸時代から続く
薬品を使わずに五感を傾け
自然と対話しながら
藍建てする事の説明など
盛りだくさんな説明。
私は
染めをしながら
耳をダンボにして
勉強させていただきました。

from planting, making sukumo,
and dyeing.
