My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
昨日は、
神奈川県藤野で、
2回目の
seeds to dye classが
ありました
。
I had the 2nd lesson of
seeds to dye class 2018
at Fujino, Kanagawa prefecture.
まず、
3月に植えた藍の苗の定植
。
先生の指導の下、
受講者の皆さんと一緒に
育てる体験が出来るのは、本当にうれしい
This March we planted indigo seeds,
and we transplanted the seedlings to
our instructor's farm yesterday.
I was glad to take care of them with
other participants with our instructor.
そのあと、先生から
型染めと片野絞りの説明。
型染めは、まず型彫りの試し彫りからスタート
After that
he explained about two projects：
stencil dyeing and katano tie-dyeing.
We tried cutting special Japanese papar
for stencil today.
そして、 その後
ハンカチを片野絞りで絞りました。
布を屏風だたみにして
縫うので、布が分厚くなって
針を通すのが大変でした
。
After that,
we applyed katano tie-dyeing technique to a handkerchief.
It was folded like an accordion before sewing
so the fabric became very thick.
That made me difficult to enter my needle into the fabric
and bring it out through the layerd fabric.
この講座を通して、
2枚の風呂敷を、
今日習った
型染めと片野絞りで
作ります。
わたしにも、できるかな～
楽しみ～
We are going to make
stencil dyed furoshiki
and
katano shibori furoshiki.
I'm looking forward to the projeccts.
