My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.

と
思ったら、
あっという間に
終わっちゃいましたね、GW。
Time flies.
Time to go back to a normal achedule
今年も
本藍染矢野工場の
「藍の美展」が
5月2日～5月6日まで
行われました
。
Hon Aizome Yano Kojo had an annual exhibition
"The beauty of indigo dyeing”
from May 2nd to 6th.
会場の
藍の館は
江戸時代の藍商旧奥村家の屋敷
The venue was at a traditional old house owned by Mr Okumura,
who was an indigo dye merchant.
展示品ですが、
矢野浩子先生の
絞りの作品は、
素晴らしいにつきます
。
As for the exhibits,
my great shibori teacher's works were just stunning

まるで、
絞りが生きているよう
This pattern looks alive.

そして
私の作品も飾っていただきました。
孔雀
peacock
展示品以外に
植物の藍
を初めて見て
それがあの藍色になると
とても感動されたり、
Some visitors were impressed to see the real indigo plants, and
amazed that the color of indigo blue are made from the leaves.
どうして徳島で藍が有名になったの
と
興味を持って聞いてくれた
子供たちがいたり、
私も大変有意義な時間を
過ごせましたよ～。
Some children were curious about the reason
why Tokushima is famous for indigo dyeing,
and I explained it.
展示会は
展示する側にとっても
見に来られる方にとっても
素晴らしい機会となりました
。
It was a wonderful experience for both the exhibitors and the visitors.
