My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
先月末
東京マラソンの日、
主人を応援しに行く前に
あるイベントに行ってきました
。
On Tokyo Marathon day
I went to an event before supporting my husband.
主人をゲートで見送った後、
新宿駅近くのポスターで
「染めの小道」というイベントを見かけたのです
。
I found a poster of the event, Some no Komichi, near Shinjyuku station
after seeing him off at the venue.
染めの小道・・・
素敵な響きで
、
直ぐに行ってみる事にしました。
Some no komichi・・・
sounded beautiful to me.
I got curious and decided to visit the place.
あまり内容がよくわからないまま
中井駅に着いたのですが、
ボランティアの方が、
案内を配ってくれたので、
安心して、回ることが出来ました。
I didn't have any information about it,
but as soon as I arrived at Nakai station
some volunteers gave me a guide map about the event.
まず、初めに目にしたのが
妙生寺川の上に、色とりどりの
反物
川に沿って連なって飾られていて
とても素敵なディスプレイ
The first display I saw was
lots of spread colorful rolls of cloth
and they were hanging over the river.
以前はこの川で
染め物を洗っていたそうですよ。
Long time ago
dyeing industry was popular in this area
and newly dyed cloths used to wash in this river.
カフェ
やレストラン
、その他いろいろなお店が多く、
その入り口には
様々な技法で染められた
手作りののれんが飾られていました
。
藍染め
草木染
友禅、
ろうけつ などなど
色々あって、とっても楽しかったです。
There were lots of cafes, restaurants, and other shops in the area,
and each shop had a dyed noren in front of its entarance.
Some of them were indigo dyed, and others were
vegitable dyeing,
yuzen,
batik, and so on.
年に一度のイベントになっていて、
また、来年行ってみたいと思います。
This is an anual event, so
I'm looking forward to visitng Some no komichi next year..
