「針供養」
Today's topic is "Hari-kuyo."
Hari means needles, and
kuyo means a memorial service.
昨日2月8日
大阪の天満宮にて
お針祭り 「針供養」 がありました。
チクチク針仕事をしていると、
針が曲がったり
、
錆びたり、
折れてしまったり・・・
。
そんな頑張って働いてくれた針たちを
感謝を込めて
神社に納める行事なのです
。
There was a memorial service for needles at
Osaka Tenmangu on Feb. 8th.
Since the needles worked hard until they were broken,
harikuyo is the opportunity for the needle owners to express their gratitude.
どのように供養するかな？
興味津々
大阪の天満宮にいってきました。
テーブルに
大きなコンニャク2枚がおかれており、
みなさん、
壊れた針を
ぐにゅっと
刺していました
。
柔らかいもの、というのが
ポイントで、場所によってはお豆腐を使うそうです。
ハードに今まで働いたので、
ゆっくり休んでね、
ということなのでしょうね。
I wanted to know how to dedicate them.
With lots of curiosity,
I went to Tenmangu shirne to experience the Hari-kuyo.
There were two large konnyaku on the table, and
we, visitors, stuck our needles to them.
It is said that soft food like konnyaku is a good place for the needles to rest .
I heard that some shrines use tofu instead of konnyaku.
コンニャクに針を刺すなんて、
初めて～。
そして、
実は目の前には、
たくさんの写真家たちが針供養の様子を撮影していて
何とも変な感じでした・・・
さて、
これからの一年も
針
と共に
素敵な作品作り
をしていきたいと
思っています。
It was the first time for me to stick needles!
There were lots of photographers surrounding the table,
so I felt awkward when I was doing the service.
Anyway,
I'll work with my needles and want to make lots of handmade items.
