My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
今日も
とっても冷え込んでいます
。
台所にいても吐く息がしろ～い
ぶるぶるっ
冷蔵庫の扉をあけても、寒さをかんじません・・・
It is freezing cold today.
I could see my breath in the kitchen,
and
I didn't felt cold when I opened the fridge this morning.
今日は日本の良さについて・・
気づいた事。
きっかけは、
先日の竹かごワークショップ。
Today
I want to write about Japan's good points in the past.
I realized some
when I joined a bamboo basket weaving workshop.
植物の竹から
竹かごをつくり
暮らしの道具にしていた頃。
自然と共存していたんですね～。
今は、それがなくなりつつ
別のものに変わってきている。
そして、
私が今夢中になっている
藍染めも同じ。
藍の染料は、
植物の蓼藍から作っていた頃があったのですから・・。
In the past,
people used to cut bamboos to maintain the forests
and
make tools using bamboos.
They knew how to live with nature.
Unfortunately,
those handmade tools have been replaced
with plastic ones.
As for indigo dyeing,
people used to make indigo dye from the indigo plant.
Nowadays it is very difficult to find that kind of authentic indigo dye.
昔を振り返れば
、
見えてくるのは、
日本のオリジナリティー
。
それって、
過去の中で生きていると思う
私にとって「藍染め」は身近な存在、
自然からの贈り物として
大切にして生かしていきたいな～。
When look back the past.
we can find our Japanese originality,
I believe that it is still alive in the past.
Indigo dyeing is a familiar existence for me.
I want to treasure it as a gift from nature.
