My name is tiramisu, and I'm into
indigo dyeing now.
昨日は
藍色尽くしな
デラックスな一日でした。
It was December 16th yesterday,
and I had a wonderful day with indigo blue.
午前中は、
藍染教室
。
浴衣の生地に雁木絞りを
している途中を先生に確認してもらいました。
In the morning
I had a lesson in shibori, and
showed my teacher the process of my shibori stiches "Gangi-shibori"
to make sure I had done right.
午後は、
本藍染矢野工場の代表
矢野藍秀師の
「阿波藍で染める～天然灰汁発酵建染」
講演を聞きに行ってきました。
2時間半にも及ぶお話は、
とっても充実した時間でした。
藍建ての9日間を
丁寧に説明してくださり、
見たこともない工程ですが、
流れが一通りわかってきました
In the afternoown
Mr. Ranshu Yano had a lecture
about Awa Ai and the process of making indigo dye.
Two and a half hours talk was very interesting to me.
I learned that 9 -day process required high technique and carefully selected materials,
and I was able to understand the method a little by his lecture,
いつか自分で藍建てをしたい、
という夢は、
大きく膨らんだり
不安でしぼんだり・・・
でも、
いつか、きっと実現させたいな。
Someday I want to have my own studio,
which is my biggest dream.
The dream is sometimes filled with happy expectations,
and sometimes filled with anxiety.
I hope my dream will come true.
夜は
藍仲間で親睦会で
楽しいおしゃべりで盛り上がりました。
After that we had a party
with Mr. and Mrs. Yano, and
had a great time.
