「ニュー・キッズ・オン・ザ・ブロック」の新曲歌詞に「防弾少年団」が登場
アメリカのグループ「ニュー・キッズ・オン・ザ・ブロック」（以下「NKOTB」）が最近、ニューアルバムを発表した中、収録曲の歌詞に韓国ボーイズグループ「防弾少年団」が登場すると、世界中の音楽ファンで話題になっている。
「NKOTB」は現地時間8日、「グッドモーニング・アメリカ」に出演し、新曲「Boys In The Band」を紹介。1988年に世界で1000万枚以上の販売を記録したアルバム「Hangin‘ Tough」の発売30周年を記念して発表された新譜だ。
この曲には世界的なボーイズグループの歴史が詰まっている。「ジャクソン5」、「バックストリート・ボーイズ」、「ワン・ダイレクション」といったボーイズグループの名が連なる中、「防弾少年団」の名前は現在を語る2節に登場し、聞く者を驚かせた。
「NKOTB」のメンバーは「30周年を記念するアルバムだが、この曲は各時代のボーイズグループに感謝とお祝いの気持ちを送ろうと思って作った。僕たちにとって新鮮なインスピレーションをくれた『防弾少年団』ら、新しいグループの名前も出てくる」と明らかにした。
