【エイブラハム・リンカーン】
Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865)
第16代アメリカ合衆国大統領。偉大な解放者 (the Great Emancipator)、奴隷解放の父と呼ばれた。初代大統領ジョージ・ワシントンと共に、最も偉大な大統領の1人として称えられている。
リンカーンの残した「人民の、人民による、人民のための政治（Government of the people, by the people, for the people）」という言葉はあまりにも有名です。

John F. Kennedy (1917 - 1963)
アメリカの政治家・作家。第35代アメリカ合衆国大統領。代表作「勇気ある人々」でピューリツァー賞を受賞。

大統領任期中には、「ベルリン危機」、「キューバ危機」、「アポロ計画」など数々の歴史的イベントにおいてその政治手腕を振るったが、1963年にテキサス州ダラスで暗殺されるという最期を遂げた悲運の大統領でもある。
