35 years after

Singer Tracy Chapman became the first Black woman to win a Country Music Association award Wednesday evening when her signature hit, "Fast Car," won Song of the Year 35 years after it was released.
"I'm sorry I couldn't join you all tonight," Chapman, who could not attend the ceremony, wrote in a pre-written note. "It is truly an honor for my song to be newly recognized after 35 years of its debut. Thank you to the CMAs and a special thanks to Luke (Combs) and all of the fans of 'Fast Car.

この人がカバーしたおかげで、35年たったのちに、CMAでソング・オン・ジ・イヤーを取ったみたいです。良い曲は35年たっても良いからね~。
