ICT大会 開催趣旨
インターネットの世界的な広がりにより、政治、経済から我々の生活まで、すべての情報がデジタル化し、双方化しつつあります。米国のオバマ大統領は
こちらは中国への派遣がきまったのをお祝いするオバマ氏。
そうしたデジタル情報を巧みに活用することで政権を獲得しましたが、金融分野へのICT（情報通信技術）の応用は新たな波乱要因を生みました。さらにクラウドコンピューティングや様々な携帯端末の登場は、ビジネス情報はもとより、音楽や映像などの娯楽情報まで、いつでもどこでも入手できる環境をもたらしました。こうした情報の利用を「情報消費」と呼ぶなら、今後の情報消費スタイルはどう変わっていくのでしょうか。また我々の生活や政治、経済はどんな影響を受けるのでしょうか。
昨年に引き続いて開催する「世界ICTサミット2009」では「情報消費社会の未来」をメインテーマに、国内外の企業トップやオピニオンリーダーを招聘して「クラウドコンピューティング」「ソーシャルWeb」「次世代モバイル」「メディアの革新」の4つの視点で最先端の動きを紹介し、今後のネット社会の発展について議論。

Greetings
With the global expansion of the internet, all information, from politics and economics to our own lives, is becoming digitized and reciprocated. US President Obama came into power by cleverly using this kind of digital information; and the application of information and communication technology (ICT) to the financial sector gave rise to new destabilizing factors. Furthermore, the emergence of cloud computing and various personal digital assistants has led to an environment where we can access not only business information but also entertainment information such as music and videos whenever and wherever we want. Suppose we call this use of information "information consumption." How will the style of information consumption change in the future? How will our lives, politics and economies be affected?
Following on from last year's summit, the main theme of the Global ICT Summit 2009 will be "The Future of the Information Consumption Society." Business leaders and opinion leaders from Japan and overseas have been invited to present the latest trends from the four perspectives of Cloud Computing, Social Webs, Next-Generation Mobiles and Media Innovations, and they will discuss the future developments of our net society.
