Inception

見ました。「インセプション」。
先週末の先行でバッチリ！

I saw Inception last weekend!!!!

そして、実はその翌日もう1度映画館へ。
2日連続で、見たっていうね。笑
自分でもクレイジーだと思います。

Actually, I saw it last Saturday and went back to a theatre the next day.
Well, yeah, I saw the same film 2 days in a row.
I know, I know, I am kinda crazy.. haha

だって超面白かったんだもん♪
あの無重力ファイト、もう1回映画館で見たかったんだもん。
あれ、あそこってどうなってたんだろう？って確認したかったし、
大好きなエレン・ペイジとマリオン・コティヤールとジョセフ・ゴードン＝レヴィットと
しかも謙さんまで出てるんだもん。
演技バトル、また見たかったんだもん。

But seriously, this film was that increadible!!!!
I wanted to see the fight scene in zero gravity, I wanted to check some scenes how things go there, I wanted to see beautiful acts of my favorite actors, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gorden-Levitt, and of course, our Ken Watanabe.

そして2回目も、1回目以上に夢中。笑
もう文句なく、面白いの、この映画！！！
ストーリー構成も、
映像も、
演技も、
音楽も、（エディット・ピアフ、超聴いてます。観た人はわかるはず！）
とにかく全てがスケール外。

I was even more focused on the film when I saw it second time! haha
This film is super great without doubt.
The structure of the story, the scenes, the acts, the music (I keep listening to Edith Piaf, people who saw the film know what I mean, right?)
Everything is outstanding!!!

クリストファー・ノーラン監督、マジ天才です。
こんな構成、見たことないし、
構成の点から言ったら今まで見た中で一番面白かったかも！
私、彼の人気作「メメント」はイマイチはまりきれなかったんですけど、
でも「インセプション」には完璧はまりましたー。

Christpher Nolan is a true genius.
I have never seen a story structure like this.
I mean, structure-wise, this maybe the best film I have even seen.
Memento is one of the most popular films for him, but I wasn't that into it.
However, Inception, Oh my gosh, this film blew me away!!!

あー、いいもの、見たー。
マジで。
激押しですっ！！！

I felt like I saw something just excellent!
Seriously.
I definitely recommend you to see this film!!!

South Korea

旅行でも行こうかと検討中。

今のところ、韓国が有力。

実は行ったことないのよねー。韓国。

I am thinking to go somewhere for a vacation.

The place that I am thinking now is South Korea.

Actually, I have never been there.

焼肉とか苦手だけどー、

韓国料理は好きだし、

日本にずーっといると海外の空気を吸いたくなるし、

秋の初めにでも行けたらいいなぁ～。

I am not a big fan of Korean BBQ, but I love Korean food in general.

Also, I want to feel other countries' atmosphere since I am stuck in Japan, so hope I can go there in the beginning of Fal or sometime like thatl.

Pearl Bowl

7月1日にパールボウル、見に行ってきました。

パールボウルとは何ぞや？？という方に。

パールボウルって日本の社会人アメフトトップリーグの決勝戦のことです。

I went to see Pearl Bowl on July 1st.

What is Pearl Bowl? Maybe some people are wondering.

Pearl Bowl is the final match of the top Japanese American Football league.

アメフトって日本じゃイマイチマイナーですが、

私、結構好きでテレビで毎年スーパーボウルとか見ちゃうくらいで。

最近、友達に誘われて、二部リーグの試合をよく見に行っていて

そんなこんなで今回は、一部のパールボウルにも誘われたと、そんなわけです。

American football is not popular in Japan, but I like it as I watch Super Bowl every year on TV.

Recently, I have been watching some games of the 2nd league since a friend of mine is used to be a player and he invites me to the games.

He also invited us to Pearl Bowl.

そもそも一部の試合は見たことなかったし、

どちらもチームにも思い入れはなかったのですが、

友達の友達が富士通フロンティアーズでプレイしているとのことで、

フロンティアーズを応援。

First off, I had never watched a game of the top league and neither team was my favorite or anything.

However, a friend of mine's friend is a player of Fujitsu Frontiers, so we were at their end.

ずーっと攻め手を欠いている感じだったフロンティアーズ。

負けていた最終第4クォーター。

残り1分12秒。

Frontiers had been struggling and did not get many chances to attack.

They were still behind in the 4th quarter, the last quarter of the game.

1 minute and 12 seconds left.

タッチダウン！！！！！！！！！！！！！

超燃えた。応援。　笑

本気でジャンプして、喜んだもん。

何の思い入れもなかったはずのチームに。　笑

Frontiers scores a touchdown!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were literary jumping around with a joy, seriously!!!!

It was one of the most exciting moment of my life these days, even though I don't have any personal feelings to the team. hahaha

そんな中、残り1秒。

点差、2点。

フロンティアーズ陣内で、相手が選ぶのは当然フィールドゴール。

フィールドゴール決まると、3点。

劇的な逆転・試合終了なわけです。

Then 1 second left.

Frontiers was winning only by 2 points at that moment.

The opponent was in Frontiers' field. Of course, the opponent chose a field goal as their last move because they could get 3 points with a field goal and they could come from behind win by 1 point.

もう声振り絞って、

相手チームには申し訳ないけど、フィールドゴールが外れることを願い。

We were screaming to cheer and I was so sorry for the opponent, but I sort of wished they had missed the kick.

結果、フィールドゴールを外す相手チーム。

As a resutl, they missed the field goal.

もう、マジで応援団大騒ぎです。

日本でもアメフトでこんなに盛り上がるんだ～っていうくらい。

私も友達とハイタッチで喜んじゃったよ。

超楽しかった！！！

秋シーズンも見に行こうっと！！！

Everyone at the stand was yelling and jumping around.

It was very surprising that fans excited this much even in Japan!

I high fived friends and we were super happy and excited!!! It was really really fun!!!

I am definitely going to go to games in fall season.

ZED

週末にシルク・ドゥ・ソレイユのZEDを見に行ってきました！
日本で唯一のシルクの専用劇場イン舞浜。
シルク・ドゥ・ソレイユはドラリオン、コルテオ、オーに続いて4回目です。

I went to Maihama to see Cirque du Soleil's show ZED last weekend at the only parmanent Cirque du Soleil theather in Japan.
This was my 4th time to see their show after Dralion, Corteo and O.

毎回毎回圧倒されるわけですが、
今回も間違いなく。
オープニングから一緒に行った友達と「すごい！すごい！」を連発。
ヒャーヒャー言ってて、周りの人はうるさかったかもしれません・・・。
でもそのくらい、大興奮だったんですー。

Every their show blew me away and there's no doubt about it this time as well.
As soon as the show started, my friend and I kept saying "OMG, OMG!!!".
We were like "WOW!!! GOSH!! NO WAY!!", so I guess we kind of annoyed people around us... Sorry...
We, however, were too excited to be quiet.

特に、綱渡り。
綱渡るだけでもすごいのにさ、後ろ向きにジャンプするわ
縄跳びはするはバク宙もするわで友達と2人で
「もういいって！もうそれ以上のことしなくていいって！」って大騒ぎ。
友達、最終的に目を覆うっていう。　笑

Especially, the high wire act was unbelievable...
Just walking on a tightrope is already amazing, but they jumped backward, they jumped rope on the tightrope and they even back flipped on it...
Can't believe it!!! We were like "STOOOPPPP!!! You don't have to do that!!! You did enough!!!!" and my friend covered her eyes at the end. hahaha

他のアクトもどれをとっても素晴らしく、
人間って色んなこと出来るな～って。　笑
シルクのショーは、本当にショーとしての完成度が高いので大好き♪
今回も完全に期待を上回ってくれて。
ラスベガスでオーを見た時にも思ったけど、やっぱり常設劇場の規模感は
テントでやるシルクのショーとは全然違ってて。

Other acts were equally incredible as well and I was just amazed how human beings do amazing things. haha
Anyway, every Cirque du Soleil show has an unbelievable quality and that is why I love their shows.
This time, ZED far exceeded the expectation.
When I saw O in Las Vegas, I thought that the show in their parmanent theather was a lot better than their shows in a tent because the scale and what they can do is a lot different and I thought the same thing for ZED.

テントのショーでも十分凄いのだから、
もうね、ハンパないです。
結構空いている席があったのが苛立たしいほど。笑
なんでみんな、こんなに凄いものを見に来ないのかっていう。笑
今度はピエロに絡まれるくらい前の席で
また見たいですー。

I mean, their shows in a tent are already great, so you can guess how great their show in their theather, can't you?
It's just hands down great.
I even was kind of pissed that there were too many empty seats. haha
How come people do not come to see this incredible show?
Anyway, I difinitely want to see this show again. Maybe next time, I am going to get a seat, which is really close to the stage so that I can get in touch with a clown!!

Hummus

今日いつもよりちょっと早く帰れたので、

帰り道にあるパン屋さんに寄り道。

ずっと美味しそうだなーって気になってたお店。

Since I could leave the office a bit earlier than usual, I stopped by a bakery on my way home.

I have wanted to check the bakery out for a while since everything looks good!

そしたら、そしたら

なんとフムスサンド、はっけーん！！！！！！！！

フムスってひよこ豆のディップ。

ニンニクとか、オリーブオイルとか、レモンとか、胡麻ペーストとか入ってるの。

私、カナダ時代に大好きで、カナダじゃ普通に見かけるものだったのに

日本じゃ全然見かけなくて。

Guess what I found there!?

A hummus sandwich!!!!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!

Hummus is a paste made from chickpeas, garlic, olive oil, lemon, sesami paste and so on.

It was very common in Canada and I loved loved it when I was there, but I almost have never seen it in Japan.

自分で作ったこともあったんだけど、なんかイマイチ上手く出来上がらず。

超食べたかったんだよね～。

ってことで、思わず即買い。

明日のランチに食べるんだ～♪

久々なので、楽しみです！！

Once I tried to make it by myself, but it was not that good.

So, I have wanted to have it for a quite long time.

That is why I bought it as soon as I saw it.

I am going to eat it for lunch tomorrow.

Can't wait!!!

Marine!!

夏もすぐそこだからさっ！ってことで、今回はマリンネイル！

Since Summer is just around the corner, I got my nails done with a marine design!!

最近実はすっかりネイリストさんにお任せなんです。

デザインも配色も。

Actyally, I haven't designed my nails at all recently. Everything, the colors and the designs is my nailist's choice.

だって自分で指定すると、いっつも同じ感じになっちゃってつまんないのー。

いつもやってもらっているネイリストさんだし、

どのネイルも自分じゃ思いつかないけど、出来上がるとカワイイー☆ってなるし、

友達からの評判もいいしで、すっかり信頼してお任せ状態。

If I design, it is going to be very similar everytime and it is quite boring. That is why I ask my nailist to design and I totally trust her because she has been doing my nails for several months and every time my nails are super cute with designs which I never think of by myself.

Also, my friends always adore my nails by her.

実はこの前にしていたネイルを、昨日たまたま会ってた友達が超気に入って。

「どこのサロンでやってるのー？」から始まって、

最終「私もそれと同じにしたい！！」ってなって。

「マジで！？今日遊ぶんじゃなかった？？」とか思いつつも、

急遽、友達を連れて行きネイリストさんに紹介し、友達も私と同じネイルにしたくらい、

いっつも可愛くしてくれるネイリストさんなのですー。

ちなみにそれは押し花ネイルだったのですけど、それも超可愛かったのー♪

Actually, I was hanging out with a friend yesterday and she loved my nail designs, the one before I had them changed.

She was like "Where's your nail salon?", "How much was it?" etc..., kept asking me questions and then, "I wanna get my nails done with the same design!! Please take me to the salon!!".

I was like "Seriously? I thought we are gonna hang out today.", but I took her to the salon, introduce her to my nailist and she got her nails done with her.

As this shows, she always makes my nails pretty!

Well, the design my friend got is pressed flower nails and it was super cute as well, FYI.

そんなわけでいつもお任せなので、

今日も一応「今日はどうしますかー？」って聞いてはくれるんですけど、

私が「またノープランです」って言った瞬間に

「マリンにしたいんですけど！！」ってネイリストさん。　笑

Anyway, as I said, I always leave everything up to her, so she at least asked me "What do you want to do today?", but as soon as I said "I have no plan, again!", she was like "I wanna do a marine design!!".

Yeah, she definitely had the plan in her mind, already. haha

うちの会社はネイルとか派手でも全然OKなので、

ネイリストさん的にも色々出来て楽しいのかも。

最近はちょっとラブリーなネイルが続いてたから、今回は若干辛めで気に入ってます♪

Since our company is not strict on nail colors and designs, I guess it is fun even for her to be able to use many colors and make them decorative.

I had gotten lovely designs last a couple of times, so this time, it is not too sweet and I love it so much!

最近お仕事がトラブル続きで若干ヤラレ気味。
がしかし、自分の力の及ばないところで起こっていることなので
私は私に出来ることをして、あとは神頼みって感じ。

I have been in troubles at work recently, and I am stressed out, well sort of.
There is nothing I can do about those troubles, so I am trying to do my best on what I can do something and just praying for good results.

そんな時は、本でも読もうかと思い。

This is a collection of 6 short stories of 10 girls who are classmates in a high school.
There are stories of some girls belong to the same group of friends.
Also, there is a story which is told by a loner.

なんだか高校生の頃って、こういうことあったよな～とか
こうやって色々小難しいこと考えてたよなとか。
そういえば、私もこの子達みたいに程よく混乱してたよなとか。

This book reminds me of my high school life.
I felt like "The same kind of things happend to me..." or "I was thinking something which was actually not that a big deal, but I thought it was..." or "I was as confused as these characters.".

それこそ、タイトルが示すとおりで。
高校生の頃の日常なんて、もうすっかり忘れてしまっていたから、
なんとなーく遠い記憶の中にある高校生の私の、
忘れていた記憶が呼び起こされる感じでした。

I mean, as the title shows, since I had totally forgotten my daily life in high school, it was like this book brings my memories back to me from when I was a high school student.

あ～、それにしても江國さんの書く日本語は
どうしてこんなにも美しいかなぁ～。
最近ある人気作家さんの本を続けて読んだのだけど、
読んでいる間はそこそこ楽しめるんだけど、後に残らないというか。
イマイチ入り込まないというか。

Anyway, I am always amazed by beautiful Japanese Kaori Ekuni writes.
I have been reading some books by a really popular author and they are enjoyable enough at least while reading them, but nothing left after.
I felt pretty much disconnected from the worlds in his book.

その点、江國さんの本には昔からガッツリ持っていかれる傾向にあるんですよね、私。
登場人物の不安定な感じが、嘘がない気がして好き。
今回の本も、好きな感じでした。

Whereas Kaori Ekuni's books tend to take me away to somewhere deep.
I guess, the characters in her books are unstable and I believe people are unstable, so I sort of have a sense of affinity with them.
Anyway, I loved this book.

STOMP JAPAN TOUR

10日ほど前に、STOMPの来日公演を見に行きました。
今さら説明不要の、ボディパーカッションやドラム缶やパイプなど
ストリートのものを打楽器にしたパフォーマンスグループ。

I went to see STOMP's Japan tour like 10 days ago.
Maybe I do not have to explain what STOMP is, but they are a percussive performance group who use tools of streets such as pipes, drum cans and their own bodies as instruments.





ずっとファンで、ずっと生でパフォーマンスみたいなーって思ってて。
今回たまたま友達に誘われて、STOMP、初体験。

I have been their fan and I have wanted to see their live performance.
Then a friend invited me to the show and finally, I could see them in live for the first time!

かっこよすぎて、圧倒されて。
もう超超超すごい。
ホンモノ、ってこういうことだと思う。
笑えるところもいっぱいだし、日本人って決してノリがいい方じゃないと思うけど
お客さんノセるの上手だし。

They are super super amazing!!! Their performance is cool, powerful and fascinating!!
I think this is what genuine means.
They make the audience laugh quite often even though the audience in Japan is usually very quiet and do not react much.

みんな凄いんだけど、
なかでも日本人唯一のストンパー、宮本やこさんに釘づけ。
だって超かっこいいんだもん。リズムが。
ほんと彼女のパフォーマンスから、目が離せず。

Every performer is great, but especially, the only Japanese Stomper, Ms. Yako Miyamoto blows me away.
Her rhythm was just awesome!!! She is super cool.
I just can't take my eyes off her.

私自身は全くリズム感がないので、
リズム感がある人を羨ましいというか、羨望の眼差しで見つめたショーでした。
次回の来日公演も行きたいなー！！

I myself do not have rhythms at all, so I was just amazed by their rhythms and performances and I could not help wondering "what if I had rhythms like them...?".
I definitely want to see their performance again!!!

My new rain boots

今日の夜からしばらく雨らしい。

いよいよ梅雨だな～。

ってことで、ずっと欲しかったレインブーツをやっと購入！

It is going to start raining tonight and it rains pretty much everyday next week, a weather report said.

Rainy season has come, so I bought a pair of rain boots, which I was thinking to buy for a while.

A rainy day is kind of depressing, but with these new boots, I will be happy!!!

Dear John

久々映画の話など。
「Dear John」っていう映画を見ました。
「マンマ・ミーア」のソフィ役で有名な、アマンダ・サイフリッドと
「G.I.ジョー」のチャニング・テイタムが主演のラブストーリー。

Long time no see!
Sorry I have been disappearing.
Anyway, I watched a movie called Dear John a couple of days ago starring Amanda Seyfried, who is famous for her role as Sophie in Mamma Mia and Channing Tatum, who was in G.I. Joe.
It was totally a love story.

ひと夏の恋。
彼が軍の人なので、遠距離恋愛。
毎日のようにお手紙を書いてコミュニケーション。
でも色々あって、心が離れて・・・。
みたいなお話です。

A young girl and a boy fall in love and spend together in summer.
However, since he is in the army and has to go away, they have a long distance relationship.
They write each other everyday and at first it goes well.
After some thing happened, however, their relationship fall apart....
That is the story.

「きみに読む物語」と原作者が一緒らしく、
私は原作はどちらも読んではいないからなんとも言えないけど、
少なくとも映画の出来としては「きみに読む物語」が圧勝。
「Dear John」のストーリーも似ているんだけど、
展開も、そして演技も「きみに読む物語」が上手。

The same author, who wrote the original book of the movie, The Notebook, wrote this book.
I can not say anything about those books since I haven't read neither, but at least as a film, The Notebook is much much better than this film, in my opinion.
The story of Dear John is kind of similar to The Notebook, but how story goes and acting are a lot better in The Notebook.

チャニング・テイタムが棒読みでねー。
いいシーンも台無しっていう・・・。
ちょっと残念でした。

I mean, Channing Tatum is not a good actor, unfortunately...
He can not act...
That is why I could not focus on the story...
Sad...

ま、でもとってもロマンチックでスイートなお話だと思うので
ラブストーリーがお好きな方は楽しめるのではないかと思います☆

Anyway, the story itself is very romantic and sweet, so if you like love stories, you can enjoy it, I guess.
