after updating chrome has not been running properly.
found a workaround after a week of looking through logs!!!!

OS type Windows XP English
- Chrome crashes after update -
1.open C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application
2.delete 23.0.1271.64 folder(or the newest version)
3.rename 15.0.874.106 (or the working version)to 23.0.1271.64(or to the folder name deleted on step 2)
this should stop chrome from crashing.
- additional - About profile can not be used issue
1.open C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome
2.delete User Data folder
note that this resets all the changes having done to chrome setting.
- to stop chrome from updating itself automatically -
1.simply paste the following lines on to a notepad and save. Then rename it to
ChromeDisableAutoUpdate.reg and double click on it to add to registry.
