Ganbaranba
I visited Yas-san, Kana-san, and Takeru-san yesterday at their office in Yoga. They are all members of the Ganbaranba team.
It just happened to be Kana-san's birthday. Lucky for me! Chocolate cake!
Earlier this month, I went to Ofunato with the Ganbaranba team.
That's Takeru-san above. He's one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Joining the Ganbaranba team was an opportunity for me to take the "Messages of Hope" that I gathered in Hiroshima, Kobe, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo.
You know, it is amazing how, in life, one thing leads to another. If, in December of 2010, I had not decided to go to Shinjuku and give "Free Christmas Hugs" to people on the street, many other things would not have happened. I would not have thought of taking hugs to Tohoku, and I might not have had the opportunity to join the Ganbaranba team on their mission to help those in need in Ofunato.
Even for me (even being from a "hugging" culture), giving hugs to people on the street seemed like a strange thing to do, but I am soooo glad I did it!!
I've gotten to know so many nice people just because of that.
Until next time...
