引き続き散髪屋シリーズ。昨日の洗髪が終わると、今度はマッサージをしてくれるのです。ベンチに寝たまま（！）、肩揉みと腕揉みを念入りに実施してくれます。これはオプション料金で+2,000チャット（200円）なり。
さて今日はこの曲。80年代の彼らのヒット曲とはちょっと違います。

この曲はBillboard誌で1983年10月に最高73位を記録しました。彼らの12th Album「Genesis」からの1stシングルであり、アルバムのトップを飾る曲です。
Genesisはヒットソングメーカー・Phil Collins、Mike & The MechanicsのMike Rutherford、Keyboardでバンドの中核を担っているTony Banksからなるバンド。80年代においてはPhilのソロ曲、M&TMと合わせて、かなり多くのポップヒットを連発していました
しかしこの「Mama」はそのポップソングとはちょっと違い、機械的な打込みで始まり、かなりミステリアス。ダークで息苦しい雰囲気を感じた曲でした
中三男子が初めて聞いた時、「うわっ、暗っ！」と思ったのと同時に、ちょっと気になる、病みつきになりそうな曲だったことを覚えとります。
PVもPhilの悪人ヅラと「ハハーッハッ、アーォ」という、これまた悪そうな笑いが、とっても印象に残ってます・・・、というかこの印象が強すぎ。でもねぇ、病みつきになるんすよねぇ、PVも曲も。困ったもんす
彼らは元々プログレバンド。Peter Gabrielや、後にGTRのメンバになるSteve Hackett、YesやKing Crimsonに在籍していたBill Brufordなど、多くの有名ミュージシャンを輩出してます。その時代のGenesisにはあまり詳しくないのですが、この「Mama」はその色が出ているのかなぁ・・・。
ミステリアスでダークで息苦しいですが、まぁ、聴いてみてくださいな。

“ Genesis / Mama “
This song got No.73 on Billboard Magazine in October of 1983. 1st single from their 12th album “Genesis” and it was 1st song of this album.
Genesis consisted from 3 members, hit maker Phil Collins, Mike Rutherford of Mike & The Mechanics and Tony Banks who was the keyboard player. In 80’s, they released a lot of pop hit songs like Phil and M&TM.
However “Mama” was completely different from these pop songs. It started with mechanical drum sound and it made this song very mysterious. It was dark and stuffy. At that time I was 15 years old. My first impression was so dark. However it was very addictive for me.
In this video, Phil looked like very evil. This is only what I remember about this video.
Genesis was Progressive Rock Band which Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett of GTR and Bill Bruford of King Crimson.
It’s very mysterious, dark and stuffy, try this.
