Home made garlic butter toast.

Taste sooo good that it makes you feel like a real chef.

Pretty occupied this weekend.

photo:05

Saturday morning started out cold and wet. But fortunately sky became clear around noon time.

photo:02

We had our yearly school festival and this is our glass stall.

photo:03

And then it's October festival at my part time work place as well. My third and last year~

photo:04

Can't miss out date with Fred too. At my favourite cake shop that serves the best crepe cake.

that's about it~

How nice if all of my loved ones could stay in houses like this: close to each other but at the same time, each family has a home to call their own.

Wet day today!

photo:03

This thing turns when the tealight is lit and it makes the room looks like a disco!

This is my FAVOURITE cafe where we go for breakfast occasionally. Today we went there to realise that the people running the place have changed. Slight change to the menu, interior and tableware as well. Doesn't feel like before.
Pretty sad. Yea, really sad.

It's my off day again today and as usual, went out to grab lunch at the supermarket.

Then stopped by the most old school cake shop run by an old patisserie.

photo:01

Even the wrapper around the cake was dated. But I love cake, no issue with the presentation.

The place is full of places that have gone out of operation. Pretty sad and lonely sight.

photo:02

This dog place with no barking noises, the arena with no spectators. And the empty chalets within the compound, so Ko Liang.

Then after a afternoon nap, I went out to get ice kajang. but unfortunately, it wasn't opened. Once the holiday season is over, this place is a real dead town.

Take a short stroll then back to the inn and slept again.

Waiting for dinner to be served now.
And I have just a few more working days left. OMG, how much faster can time flies.

The peak period of the summer holiday is over! Gonna get less busy from now till the end of this month.

Last week, we were constantly changing the place we stay.

We stayed in a hotel which looks the best (among the three places we stayed) from the outside but was poorly maintained inside.

photo:04

And an inn with a window view of half sea and half graveyard.

photo:02

And then yesterday, we finally came back to where we were originally staying.

photo:03

Inn sweet inn~

Today is our off day and one of the staffs brought us out.

photo:05

Lunch at a restaurant she recommended.

photo:07

We had S.E.A food!

photo:06

Love no other food more than South East Asian cuisine.

photo:08

Bought a dress, made in India.

photo:09

Had slurpee. Never seen a slurpee counter in Nagoya before.

photo:11

Stopped by at a beach.

photo:10

Had soft cream and that's my day~

Off day today~

First time to a coin laundry this morning. It smells sooo good inside the shop.

Then walk home.

Bloody hot.

This rural place. . .
Helps me save money.

A decent shopping mall is beyond the mountains....... ( ̄◇ ̄;)

I have come to IZU!
The very very long train ride wasn't as bad as expected.

Today is the 3rd day and also my rest day. Just came back from a walk around the area.

photo:01

The inn we r staying at is nicer than expected too. Food is good and feels pretty comfortable in the room.
The only bad thing is there are hell lot of insects. The first day I open my wardrobe and a spider, 4cm long spider! was crawling on the futon. Fortunately, Kaoru was brave enough to catch and release it.

Seaview via rooftop. Haha.

No beaches, rocky shore.

photo:06

However, there is a beach with sand so white and sea so blue nearby that they say will make you feel *touched*

Gotta check it out some other day~

Sushi party over at Nagae san's ceramic studio last night.

photo:01

Stunning

photo:02

Antiques everywhere.

photo:04

And what I like the most were these:

photo:05

photo:06

His original interior pieces.
Well, I just tagged along when the Seto people ask me to join so I didn't know anything much about Nagae San. But I think he must be a real famous ceramic artist in Japan and maybe internationally as well.

His work were published in overseas magazines and there were a stack of them.
Anyways, I thought it was great that I went. First time to a ceramic studio and I actually like the material and the look of it.

Btw long story short, I hurt my pinky finger while grinding a heavy piece of glass during work at Seto two weeks ago.

photo:07

Wooo, I enjoy doing this.
I have healed completely, just waiting for it to drop off and let the new one grow.

Pan pan Lappy

photo:10

Lappy just turned 5 recently.
And for some reason, I think dogs suit a frown.

Hanging around at Nagoya station before my next part time job starts~

I just discovered this toilets on the 12th floor at Takashimaya Nagoya.

photo:01

I think this is probably the only one in this building with a BIG glass window.

My polish friend recommended a pancake place to me saying that it's the best pancake she has ever had in her life.

She did warn me about the waiting time so if it's that popular, it had gotta be fantastic I thought.

Fred and I waited 30mins for a seat and then another 45mins for the pancake.

photo:02

Every piece of the pancake is made from scratch with every order. You could see a guy resting his head on the table in that picture above.

We ordered pancake pistachios sauce.
photo:03

I wish the presentation was better. It was better than average, very moist, soft and eggy but 45mins wait for it? Not that worth it.

photo:04

Made Spanish paella for dinner the other day.
Recipe: http://youtu.be/IRlXtY3DO2Y

Easy and good.

I have for another 30mins to kill. So let me show you what's in my bag.

photo:06

Since I worked at the Chinese restaurant earlier today, I have this which contains my hair net, pins and hair wax. And the key to the locker.

photo:07

In this pouch is my phone charger and IPhone charger.

photo:08

And then my planner which I bought from Taiwan. The illustration inside is CAT.

photo:09

My wallet which I bought during the first year in Japan. And I have my house key and bicycle key on it.

photo:10

In the front pocket of my bag, I have basic first aid kit, sanitary pads and a plastic bag (to be used when buying at places that do not provide free plastic bags). Usually I have a shopping bag in my bag but not today.

photo:11

Lastly the things I just bought from a pharmacy. Shampoo and insect repellent. My school is like a mosquito breeding heaven in summer. I get bitten hell lot. Although they don't have dengue fever but hey, that does not mean it's ok to let them feed on us boy! Their mosquitos come in swarm and instead of stopping them from reproducing, they come up with products that prevent them from entering the houses, easing the itchiness when you get bitten. For goodness sake!!! I wish someone would import that smoke machine we have in SG!

All right GTG~
