When we think about services, we Japanese always talking about that [customer is God].
接客について考える時に日本人はいつもお客様は神様だ。という事を口にしますね。
Even other country, basically it's same. But there is something differences.
他の国においても基本的にはそれは一緒なのですが違う点があります。
What about?? What makes differences between Japan and other country?
何が違うのでしょうか。日本と他国の違いとは？
The person who is my friend told me they think of customer as best pal or family.
お客様を親友または家族のように考えなさいと友達が教えてくれました。
What if your hair stylist is your brother or sister or parents.
You can tell anything to them honestly. Because they're so familiar.
もしあなたの担当が兄弟や両親だったらどうしますか？？
凄く近しいため、正直になんでも伝えられませんか？
But, now in Japan at hairdresser, stylists always keep stand up when they do consultation.
And eyes doesn't stare at customers eyes, they stare at the eyes on mirror.
しかしながら日本の美容室では立ちながらカウンセリングを行い、鏡越しに目を合わせています。
They think it's rude and never be a best pal.
外国の人たちはそれを失礼と捉え、決して信頼できる人として認識してくれません。
Of course they are customers, but we should be like more same eye level. And try to be a family. They think that's ritually trust and familiar.
もちろんお客様ではありますが、目線をあわせ家族に近い存在になることを目指すべきです。
それが、文字通り信頼につながります。
Yeah, it seem strange when Japanese see it at the first time. Too close for us.
日本で初めてそれをされた時、距離感が近すぎて変に思うかもしれません。
If you do this in Japan, maybe stick it out.
日本でやったら目立ちますからね。
But as I said last time, understanding about other country's culture is very useful.
でも、前回のブログでもお伝えしましたが、他国の文化を理解するって本当に有意義です。

教科書などでもよく見るフレーズですが、使えると便利です。知っていてもなかなかフレーズとして認識していないとぱっとでてこないのでやはり声に出してみたり練習が必要です。
what if...
もし...だったらどうしますか。
これはよく使います。
What if your hair stylist is your brother or sister or parents.
の文のようにwhat ifの後に完全文を繋げられるという自由度の高いフレーズです。
stick it out
目立つ、突出する。
若者たちはよく使っておりました。
