英語・オフィスでの会話／ランチタイム

今回はオフィスから離れてデイビッドのお祝いにランチすることになった4人。
簡単な表現ばかりですが、同じ表現でも単語の位置が違ったり、
相槌が必ず入ったりするとこがミソ。
2人の会話より少しこんがらかるかもしれません。

Yep. I felt like having really spicy food today.

I thought you already had one from Melissa:)

Oh, funny. That was a sharp one at the meeting.

No, we're just kidding.

Okay, we should all look at the menu now,
because the waiter is staring at us.

Right, what are we having?

We can split up everything, right?

Sure. Get some salad and chicken.

On skewer?

Yes, Sate with peanuts sauce.
And let's share a big bowl of GadoGado.

What on earth is that?

Salad with peanuts dressing.

Wow, you seem to be an expert, Vince.

Count on me, ladies, and David. I was there.

Good to have you here, Vince.
Can I request some fried rice, too?

Sure, Nashi Goreng for all of us.

Vince, all of those are in one plate for lunch special.

So easy. We don't even have to split up.

Why not. We should celebrate David.

Just a glass for each, okay?

And nobody here is driving, either.

Yeah, and nobody here can afford to buy you dinner, either.

Okay then thanks,
but you guys don't have to buy me lunch either.

since you got promoted!

えっ、ランチでそれはマズイよ。

キミにおめでとうをいうだけさ。

そうよデイビッド。当然よ。
それに誰も車運転してるわけじゃなし。

そうだ。それに誰も夕飯はご馳走できないし。

おＫ，そんじゃどーも。
でもランチおごってくれたりしないでいいからね。

だって昇進したんだから。
