クリスマス本番です。
もちろん今日も仕事です。
連休中は皆様のご想像のとおり、よく飲みました。
早い時間から飲みすぎてサイレント・ナイトをうっかり逃してしまった気もありますが・・・。
静かに幸せでした。
ちなみに最近日本酒がマイブームです。
「三谷藤夫」、辛さ具合、まろやかさ具合、価格バランスのとれた山廃仕込みでございます。
クリスマスといえばカトリックの賛美歌などが街のあちこちから聞こえてきます。
Amazing Graceに代表する追悼歌も代表的なところだと思います。
そんな「神よ！我に慈しみとあわれみを」なムードの中、この時期になると思い出す曲が
ひとつあります。
10年少し前の曲でしょうか？
Puff Daddy(現P.diddy）、Faith Evans、112という絵に描いたようなコテコテメンバーで
世に送った一曲。
しかし、コッチ系の音楽？にあまり詳しくない私でも印象に残る名曲です。
当時はHipHop、ラップ系のアーティストが銃弾に倒れてこの世を去るという事件が
数多くありました。
たとえば今でも根強い人気のある2PACとか・・・。
この曲はその中の一人、Notorious B.I.G（愛称：ビギー）に捧げた追悼歌でもあります。
たった25年しか生きることができなかった大物。
The Policeの有名な曲をサンプリングしているので耳にしたことがある方もいるでしょう。
暴れん坊のPuff Daddyにしては本当にシリアスな、胸に迫る歌詞です。
PVは当時の香りをプンプンさせて正直イケていませんが「大切な人を失ってしまった
かなしみ」に祈りをささげつつ眺めてみてはいかがでしょうか？
