大変なことの中に見つけた素敵なこと
大変なことの中から
嬉しいことが
起きました
ので

It was a really challenging but definitely a learning experience. I was in awe of what had happened.
先日、
末の娘の車が故障したんです
A couple of days ago, my daughter's car broke down in the middle of the highway.
夜ですよ
しかも場所は家から遠い場所
It happened in the middle of the night, and it occurred far away from my house.
えーーっ
それはないでしょ
仕事から戻って
ご飯食べて
ゆっくりしていたところ
それなのに
えーーっ！！
電話で助けを求める娘に対し
「嫌です、行きません
眠いから」
言いたかった
けど
それを飲み込みました。
Seriously? Can't catch a break!
At the end of a full day's work, I was all set to kick back on the couch, but seriously? Now I gotta go save her?
I was thinking of saying that, but I bit my tongue.
そして
「今行くからねー
落ち着いて対処してて～」と
"I ended up saying, 'I'm on my way to rescue you!'"
１時間のドライブ後に
ようやく到着。
iPhoneでシェアされた
ロケーション場所に
数人が群がってる
その闇の中で手を振る人が
「あっいたいた！」
でも誰だ？
友達が応援に
来てくれたのかなあ
と思いきや、、
It took me an hour to drive to her location using her iPhone's GPS. When I arrived, I noticed a couple of people with her. I thought to myself, 'Oh, nice, she got help from her friends.
But they weren't her friends; they were just strangers who were helping her out.
「ママ、この方、私の車がストップしちゃった時の後ろの車の人で、息子二人に手伝わせて、裏道まで押してくれたの。でね、一人で待つのは怖いだろうからママが来るまで一緒に待っててくれたんだ」
When her car stopped in the middle of the road, a lady happened to be right behind her. She was accompanied by her two sons, who had just finished football practice with her. So, her sons helped push her broken car all the way to a safe back road, where she could park and wait. Not only that, but she also waited for me to arrive because she thought it was sketchy to wait by herself in the dark.
えーーーーっ！！
そんな良い人って
世の中にいるぅ？？
"Are there really such good-hearted people in this world?"
I was utterly astonished.
しかも夜８時
ご飯どき
食べ盛りの息子たちまで
巻き添えにして
全くの他人の為に！
Not only was it approaching dinnertime, but the children, who must have been hungry, were made to wait. Who could do such a thing?
娘であっても
「ママ寝る時間だから
手伝えないよ」
なんて思ってた私の
何十倍も出来た人
As her parent, I'm thinking, 'What a pain!' because it's almost my bedtime, but she's such an angel!
これを見せられるために
この故障が起きたのかも
なんて思った次第で
あります
I almost feel like this incident happened for me to learn something important that I hadn't realized before.
