曲は"Phantom of the Opera（邦題：オペラの怪人）"で、1980年リリースの1stアルバム「Iron Maiden（邦題：鋼鉄の処女）」に収録されている。 Steve Harrisによって書かれた曲。
アルバム「Iron Maiden」はUKアルバム・チャートの4位になった。
