A few weeks ago I went on vacation and visited 4 different places: Tokyo, YamanashiPrefecture, Kyoto and Osaka. Each place had a different atmosphere, but they were all very enjoyable.First I’ll talk about Tokyo and YamanashiPrefecture.
I started my journey riding the Shinkansen and meeting up with my friend Kat.Once we arrived in Tokyo Kat and I met our other friend, Judy. The three of us then ventured to YamanashiPrefecture, where we all studied Japanese together 3 years ago.Our old stomping ground is none other than TsuruUniversity.I really enjoyed doing all the things I used to do in Tsuru, but it was a bit lonely because most of the people we knew were no longer around. But we got to eat delicious food and relive our glory days as exchange students. We also got a great view of Mt.Fuji!
After Yamanashi we then went back to Tokyo, and there Judy went back home.In Tokyo Kat and I did lots of sightseeing as well as shopping.I personally enjoyed going to TokyoTower and Harajuku.TokyoTower may not be the tallest building in Japan anymore, but I think it is a more recognizable and historic symbol of Japan.Harajuku is all about high fashion at affordable prices, and as a bonus they are famous for crepes.I ended up buying a jacket and top set that was on sale plus a caramel tiramisu crepe. My friend Kat bought some clothes and savored on a banana, ice cream crepe with me.To say the least it was a very haute experience.
Please look forward to part two where I’ll explain my Kansai adventure!!See ya!
