iPod Shuffle 到着、ヘッドホン取り出し時に破損 Shuffle arrives!
iPod Shuffleが先ほど到着した。黒とシルバー３個購入。まるでUSBメモリー、ネクタイピンか書類クリップの小ささ。
My shuffle arrived today just now. Bough the 3 pieces, 1 black and 2 silver.
裏にUSB->PINケーブルの短いのが付属。ヘッドホンと本体が取り付けられている台紙裏にはヘッドホンを押さえるための透明スティカーが見える。ここに注目。無造作に引っ張るとヘッドホンコントローラー裏がはがれ、コントローラーカバーが外れた。
In the back there is a USB to PIN cable and headphones packed in this small plastic case. See the area which has a transparent sticker holding the headphone controller rear? Go slow on this part or you will have an accident just like me!
ヘッドホン取り出し時、梱包のテープを引くとヘッドホンのコントローラーカバーが外れてしまった！これはパッキングを注意して取らなきゃだめと言う事。
そういえば2000年購入したばかりのPowerBook Ti, チタニュームを床に鞄を置いたときヒンジが壊れた。購入してまだ1週間。同年MacWorldで原田社長にSteveに問題を伝えてくださいと。。。Keynoteのリハ中Steveに原田さんがそのことを言ったら、Steveは「How ungrateful are you of my creation」と言われた。またSteveに怒られるかも。
Lo and behold, when I was taking the headphone out the packing sticker peel action resulted in the headphone coming apart.
I remember back in 2001 when I broke the hinge on the PowerBook Titanium. It was only 1 weekold, I put my bag down on the floor and the hinge broke. I was in MacWorld in January working for Apple, I told the General Manager of Japan Harada san to tell Steve that the hinge is weak. Harada san told this to Steve and came back to to me and said "How ungrateful is he of my creation"!

この製品は過去のシャッフルの進化系であることは間違いない。初代ガムタイプ。２台目で現行製品でもある洗濯バサミ、そしてネクタイピンの形に変わっており、大きくアップルのデザインが変化した事を語っている。こんなに違う３個のジェネレーション。アップルは時代のニーズと斬新さを考え常に変る事を恐れない会社だ。
パナソニックやソニーのデジカメ、ビデオカメラや音楽プレーヤーではガム、洗濯バサミとネクタイピンみたいな素材と形状の「ジャンプ」は見られない。
