彼女は、イラク・アルカイダ指導者の故・ al-Qaida in Iraqの側近の姉妹である。
夫が計画し、夫婦で実行した自爆テロで、
結婚披露宴の間で38人が死亡した。
彼女の爆発物ベルトが爆発しなかったため、
ヨルダン政府によって拘束され、
絞首刑による死刑を宣告されている。
