さて、先週に引き続き出張報告シリーズです
いい加減、出張報告にも疲れを感じ始めましたので、
サクッと終わらせて他の話題に移りたいものです

土曜日にＭｏｎｚａでＦ１の予選＋ＧＰ２第一ヒートを見たＥＮＫＥＩ一行は、
日曜日にベニス、マルコポーロ空港から、ロンドン、ヒースロー空港へ飛んだんだとさ
ロンドンに飛んだ目的は....

そう、ＭｃＬａｒｅｎの総本山です
２０１０年のホイール供給のレビューと２０１１年用ホイールの納入の件で
Ｍｅｅｔｉｎｇをしにいってきました。
After enjoying the Saturday qualify session at Monza, we flew to Heathlow Airport from Venis. The purpose of the visit is to go to MTC, McLaren Technology Center to have a meeting for review of 2010 wheel supply and also to discuss about 2011 wheel delivery.
２０１１年用ホイールですが、フロント＆リアの８５本＆８５本をクリスマス前に
Ｍｃｌａｒｅｎに届くように打ち合わせです。
残りは、２月、３月とコンテナで送ることになります。
来年ピレリタイヤに変わる関係で、ピレリのデータが無いだけに
タイヤとホイールの相性が全く解らない為、
ファーストロットを早めに送って、マクラーレンでテストすることになります
入れ替わり立ち代り、大勢とＭＴＧをしましたが、
どの案件に関しても生産的なＭＴＧを行うことができました
McLaren and we discussed to ship the 1st lot of 2011 wheels to arrive at Mclaren before Christmas. 2nd and 3rd containers will arrive in Feb. and Mar. Because of Tyre manufacture change, no one has Pirreri tyre's data including performance data with wheels, therefore, we will send the first lot earlieer to test the matching with tire at MTC. We met a lot of people and all the meetings were very productive.

同行したＫさんは何度もＭＴＣを訪れているんですが、
ＥＮＫＥＩは初めての訪問です
残念ながら、ＭＴＣも建屋内は全面撮影禁止だったので、
画像が無いんです。
代わりに、ＭｃＬａｒｅｎから送られてくるオフィシャル画像を貼り付けますね。
雰囲気だけでもお伝えできればと思います。
また、今月号の雑誌ＧＱの別冊にＭＴＣ特集がありますが、
こちらのほうが、ＥＮＫＥＩが訪れた際のＭＴＣに近いと思います。

In the rest of time, they gave us a factory tour. Unfortunately, just like Ferrari, photo shoot was forbidden inside factory, of course, so I put their official pictures of MTC here.

These are the only picture that I took. View from their parking lot.
この円柱状の建物からエレベーターで地下に降りてくんです
降りた先は、壁床天井一面真っ白の長～い廊下に続いています。
正にこの廊下が、映画に出てくるようなＳＦ的な作りになっており、
期待を更に駆り立ててくれました
そして、廊下の先にはまたエレベーターがあります
ここまで、外の様子は全くわかりません
エレベーターに乗って、２階まで上がるのですが、
地表に出た瞬間、エレベーターが円柱状のガラスで出来ていることに
気づかされ、ＭＴＣのロビーを見渡せるんです
Going down on elevator from this cylinder shape building. it took us to long isle which is all in white. This isle is so like SF movie just like MIB main office. At the end of this isle, there is an elevator taking us up to the 2nd floor.
The elevator is also cylinder shape made of glass, so once you reach to ground, you can see the lobby of MTC all around 360 degrees.

そして、通路を歩いて、
ＥＮＫＥＩたちは今回のＭＴＧの相手である
ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ｒａｃｉｎｇのオフィスへ向かいました。
The cylinder shape glass in the left of this picture is the elevator.
It was just beyond my imagination. Totally overwhelmed.
このときには、ＥＮＫＥＩは既にポカーンです

ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ｒａｃｉｎｇの他に、Ｍｃｌａｒｅｎ Ａｕｔｏｍｏｔｉｖｅ，
ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ｍａｒｋｅｔｉｎｇ，ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ｉｎｔｅｒａｃｔｉｖｅ，
ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ｆｉｎａｎｃｅ，他、全部署がこの建屋内に勢ぞろいです。
特出すべきは、この中に間接部門機能だけでなく、
製造部門も入ってしまっています
We went to McLaren Racing office, but in this building there are also Mclaren Automotive, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Interactive, and so on. Moreover, they have production operation inside as well.
驚くことに、この中に塗装工場まで入っているそうです。
常識的に塗装工場というと、
排気ダクトのブロワーの音とか聞こえていてもよさそうなんですが、
無音、無臭
加工室こそ、何とか切削水の匂いがしたくらいで、
とても車を作っている工場とは思えませんでした。
地下２階までありまして、
カーボン用のオートクレープ、巨大マシニングセンターなどがありました。
今話題のＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ａｕｔｏｍｏｔｉｖｅの
Ｐ１１もアッセンブリー中でしたが、
Ｆｅｒｒａｒｉと違い、完全に手組みによるものでした
Unbelievably, they have a paint shop inside. In general, you imagine a paint shop so noisy with the sound of exhaust duct blower and smell from paint material, but here at MTC you can feel nothing. Total silence and no smell. I can only smell of coolant in machine shop but everything else is nothing similar to ordinary car manufacturing plant. I saw P11 under assembly. Unlike Ferrari V8 line, it was all built by hand.
ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ，相当、ロードゴーイングカーの生産に力をいれているらしく、
ＭＴＣの右側の空いている土地に、現在、ＭＰＣを建設中です
ＭＰＣは、ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ Ｐｒｏｄｕｃｔｉｏｎ Ｃｅｎｔｅｒの意味です。
今まで、Ｍｅｒｃｅｄｅｓ ＳＬＲを生産していたラインは、
２０１３年発売予定のＰ１２を生産して、
より多くの販売を見込んでいるＰ１１を自動化ラインのＭＰＣで生産するそうです。
Ｐ１３はＰ１１よりもより安価な価格でＭｃＬａｒｅｎのエントリーモデルとなるそうですよ。
Ｐ１１のライバルが４５８イタリアですので、Ｐ１３は９１１になると良いですよね。
ＭｃＬａｒｅｎ，ロードゴーイングカーでも完全にＦｅｒｒａｒｉとガチンコな予感です
McLaren seems that they are spending serious effort to McLaren Automobile; they are currently building MPC, McLaren Production Center, for the Automation production for P11. The current production plant where they used to build Mercedes SLR will be used for P12. P13 will be McLaren Automobile's entry model which I assume to be the biggest competitor for 911. McLaren is real aggressive to battle with Ferrari not only on the track but also on the street.
