One night, my palace caught fire.
Through a blazing corridor, I frantically tried to escape. Man in the fire.
But the fire grew, like a dragon’s scream.
Now, I must choose the right door. Then a man appeared.
The man I met in the fire is the spitting image of me.
You look just like me. Who on earth are you ?
Then he answered that he is surprised that we look alike as well. Man in the fire.

この物語は奇怪な出来事に遭遇する、ある男の話

ある夜の惨事、私の宮殿は炎に包まれた。
燃え盛る廊下を死に物狂いで脱出しようと試みた。
しかし炎はドラゴンの叫びのごとく強さを増し、
逃げ道は２つのドアに限られてしまった。
--- その時、ある男が姿を現したのである。---
その男、驚く事に自分と寸分違わぬ容姿..
「おまえ、俺と全く同じ容姿、、いったい何者なのだ！？」
そうするとその男は答えた。
彼自身も私達のそっくりな容姿に驚いていると。
それどころか、彼は誰にも教えた事が無い私の秘密さえも知っていたのである。
「おまえ、そっちのドアから逃げろ！ 俺は、、こっちから逃げる」
絶体絶命に思える差し迫った状況の中、私たちは真剣な約束をした。
「もしお互いが生き残る事が出来たなら、約束の場所で会おう」と。
炎の中で出会った男
お互い生き残れそうにも無いが、願わくば約束の場所で再開出来ればと願った。
別々のドアへと、せめてどちらか１人でもと。
生き残りを賭けて別々のドアへと逃げた２人は、
願わくば約束の場所で再開出来ればと願った。
