Went to the Paper Expo that was held last weekend. I had a feeling there were going to be a lot of stationery lovers, but didn't expect the humongous turnout! Soooo many people trying to get a peek at the cute paper goods, it was chaotic!
Next time they have the expo, I hope it'll be held at a bigger venue!
Having trypophobia (fear of polka dots and clusters of small holes), I've always steered clear of Yayoi Kusama's art pieces. However, I thought it's about time I came face to face with her art so I mustered up my courage and went to her exhibition. Being surrounded by polka dots, I had shivers down my spine and goosebumps all over me throughout the whole time I was there, but strangely enough I enjoyed the exhibition.
I like how she uses vivid colors, and although I know that her art work is comprised of small dots, I found myself looking closely and then regretting that i did (lol). Although I said I enjoyed the exhibition, I think I can do without for a couple of years.
The other day, I attended a cheese event. The theme was French cheese. We started off with a cheese platter and learned about the 14 kinds on the plate. The regions, how the cheeses are made, the different "rules" that apply according to the cheese, etc. Later, we were able to taste a few other kinds, as well as second helpings of whatever cheese our hearts desired. I didn't think I'd be able to taste so many different kinds of cheese! When I first saw the platter, I didn't think it'd be enough, so imagine how flabbergasted I was when I found myself full, halfway through the platter!
