Picture 1 is another handmade lens.
What is attached to the tip of the lens is a transparent ball.
This is made of plastic and is attached to the camera's lens.

And I took Picture 2 with that lens.
I took a picture of a flower with a transparent sphere.
However, the surroundings are black.

So I made it with a transparent film.
Then the surroundings of the balls are now reflected.
I liked this image.
And I thought about a simple way to make it.

Picture 5 is made using a package of potato chips.
I wrote an article on this production method on the WEB magazine.

Although this article was talked about, there was a person who said chips' package is not cool.
So I made a metal product.

The picture below is taken using this product.
Picture 7 was taken at Neco shima.
"Neco shima" means "Cat Island".
There are some Cat Islands in Japan, and I took this photo at Cat Island in Miyagi prefecture.
Miyagi prefecture is in the northern part of Japan, the real name of this cat island is Tashiro Island.

I took this picture at the zoo in Saitama prefecture.
It was a small space, but it looks wide.
Because it makes it possible to shoot a wide range by using the Soratama.

The name of the lens that I invented is "Soratama".
"Sora" is "Aerial", "Tama" is "Ball", "Soratama" meaning "Aerial ball".
I sell this product at camera shops, Amazon and so on.
This lens has several kinds. For example. for smartphones and for cameras.
Picture 11 shows the Soratama for iPhone.

This is a system diagram of the Soratama.
In order to use the Soratama on the camera, close-up shooting needs to be possible.
By using a macro extension tube, you can shoot in closeup.
Therefore, this is necessary for close-up shots.

I have made lots of handmade lenses so far.
The yellow lens is the first handmade lens I made.
I made it in 2006.
This yellow part is a paper tube.
You can adjust the focus by sliding this tube.

Picture 2 is a cheap lens that I bought at a 100 yen shop.
I used this cheap lens for my handmade lenses.
This is the same one found in picture 1.

Picture 3 is the first picture taken with this handmade lens.
I was amazed by the fact that I was able to take pictures with a cheap lens.

I liked the image and sense of handmade lenses and I started making lots of lenses.
Picture 4 is a handmade lens made with black paper.
The photographs 5, 6, and 7 are the process of folding the paper.
You can adjust the focus by extending and contracting the lens.

Pictures 8, 9, and 10 are pictures taken with this lens.
This handmade lens is made with only one lens.
Because of that, the periphery of the image flows and it is blurred.
Normal camera lenses are designed not to blur.
However, this handmade lens has an artless taste.
It is impossible to create this image with a digital effect.

In this book, I introduced a method of enjoying photos in an analog way.
