The visage of this woman is frightening. It is easy to imagine her threatening to cut off some poor kid's peepee for wetting the bed. In my opinion this woman should never have been allowed on any bench, as she has never shown judicial neutrality, and has always couched her opinions within a markedly liberal framework. Up to now SCOTUS has repeatedly, intentionally avoided core civil rights issues and instead concentrated on relatively safe issues such as racism or abortion. Up to now SCOTUS has refused to render opinions on most gun issues, the only civil right that is under constant attack by lberal politicians and governments. Gun opponents tell and retell lies, have used laws to incrementally but still obviously steal our civil rights. But our courts, supposedly politically neutral, will not defend our rights because they have become highly liberal, and for some strange reason liberals believe that restriction is freedom. This is judicial cowardice at its best. Accordingly, we are told time and time again that laws that take away our personal choices are actually preserving our rights and safety. As stated by Spock: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.. No. This is NOT acceptable. The entire nation should not be punished for the actions of the criminally insane, punish the criminal, not the group that supposedly inspired the crime. The few are important, must always be important. Anything else trivializes the rights of all; it is just too easy to label a person or a group as not worthy of legal respect or protection.
