I got flowers today. It wasn't my birthday or any other special day. We had our first argument last night. He said a lot of cruel things that really hurt me. I know he was sorry and didn't mean the things he said. Because I got flowers today.

I woke up this morning sore and bruised all over. I know he must be sorry Because he sent me flowers today.

How will I take care of my kids? What about money? I' m afraid of him and scared to leave. But I know he must be sorry Because he sent me flowers today.

If only I had gathered enough courage and strength to leave him, I would not have gotten flowers today.

昨夜 彼と初めてのケンカをしたの
彼は 私を酷く傷付ける残酷なことを
たくさん言った
知ってる 彼が悪かったと思ってるって
言ったことに意味なんかなかったって
だって私 今日 お花をもらったんだから
今日 お花をもらった
記念日や何かの特別な日ではなかったけれど
昨夜 彼は私を壁に突き飛ばし
首を絞め始めた
それは悪夢のようで
現実だとは信じられなかった
今朝目覚めると身体はアザだらけ
でも私 今日 お花をもらった
彼 悪かったって思ってるに違いない
今日 お花をもらった
母の日や何かの特別な日ではなかったけれど
昨夜 彼はまた私をぶちのめした
そして、それは今までのどれよりも
はるかに酷かった
彼から離れるとしても
私はどうしよう？
どうやって子供の世話を？
お金はどうすれば？
彼のことが怖い
彼から去るのも怖い
でも私 今日 お花をもらった
彼 悪かったって思ってるに違いない

今日はとても特別な日だった
それは私の葬儀の日
昨夜 彼はついに 私を殺した
私をぶちのめして 殺した
私がもし
彼から離れるのに十分な勇気と
力を蓄えていたとしたら
今日はお花をもらえなかっただろう。
