POWER MEET 2012
Power Meet is one of the biggest car meet-ups in the world. Thousands of people come to my little shitty town out of all towns, and under the span of three days show off their cars. Mostly there are 50's, 60's yankee cars. It begun yesterday on the 5th.
The spectators are many aswell. By the lake there is a long strip with lots of market stands (I think it's called that?) and besides walking down that strip and around, people sit on the grass looking at the cars cruising on the street.
It looks crowded in pictures. That'd normally give me anxiety, but it looks worse than it is. The atmosphere is also quite good.
Of course there are lots of alcohol involved. There are always people that use every event as an excuse to get drunk. It's insane, but entertaining anyhow. And it sort of makes people more open minded... Strange.
Last year I didn't go to any of the days. I think I felt bad but also we have a two-seat car which we cruise in. So I'm not the first choice really. Don't blame them, but well, you know. Or I don't even know. I haven't been well these past two days so maybe I won't go into town...
